PITMAN, N.J. - On Tuesday afternoon, the New Jersey Athletic Conference announced that 882 student-athletes were selected to the NJAC All-Academic Team. Among them, six Wesley College Football student-athletes earned the prestigious academic honor.
To be eligible for the squad, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport while achieving a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
Representing Wesley among the NJAC All-Academic Team members were graduating seniors Joe Callahan and Leroy Cheatham, rising senior Austin Eagle, and rising juniors Nick Falkenberg, Samer Manna, and Stephen Yorkman. Callahan graduated with a degree in exercise science while Cheatham earned his degree in Law and Justice Studies. Austin Eagle is studying physical education while Falkenberg is majoring in exercise science. Manna is a business major and Yorkman is working toward a sports management degree.
