DOVER, Del. – Guards Alexus Stroud and Brian Cameron were named Wesley Wolverines of the Week for Jan. 16-23.
Stroud tallied a pair of double-digit point totals in Wesley's two Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) games last week. After recording 11 points against Salisbury, Stroud came off the bench and notched 17 points in the win over Southern Virginia. Stroud currently ranks fourth in the CAC in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game.
Cameron paced the Wolverine offense in their split of two conference games last week. Cameron led all scorers in the game against No. 17 ranked Salisbury with 27 points on 10-of-15 from the field, and added eight rebounds and four steals. Cameron followed that performance with a 14-point, five-rebound effort in the win over Southern Virginia. Cameron leads the CAC in three-point field goal percentage (50 percent) and ranks seventh in the conference in points per game, averaging 14.4 points per contest.
The Wesley College men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road on Wednesday, Jan. 25 when they face the St. Mary's Seahawks in a CAC doubleheader. Action is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
