DOVER, Del. – Senior Greg Taylor and sophomore Jourdyn Beverly were named Wesley Wolverines of the Week for Jan. 24-30 for their performances at the Wesley Brown Invitational, held at the U.S. Naval Academy.
Taylor finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.93 seconds, .02 seconds shy of the first place time. Taylor also placed 10th in the 200-meter dash, clocking-in at 22.85 seconds. His 60-meter dash time is tops in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) while his 200-meter time ranks second in the CAC.
Beverly recorded a sixth place finish in the shot put, throwing 12.07 meters. Her throw places her second in the CAC rankings in the event. Beverly also took 10th in the weight throw with a heave of 14.10 meters. Beverly has the best mark in the weight throw of 15.64 meters, which she set at the Terrapin Invitational on Jan. 21.
The Wolverine track & field teams will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 4 when they compete in the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College.
