DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College athletic department and the Wesley Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are set to participate in the annual Division III Week.
The week runs from April 3 through April 9 which sharpens Division III's identity amongst the member institutions and the impacts of athletics and student-athletes on campus and out in the community.
Wesley's SAAC will host a Wolverine Pride night on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. during the Wesley women's lacrosse game against the York (Pa.) Spartans. All of the Wesley sports teams will be in attendance to cheer on their fellow Wolverines.
Many student-athletes will be giving back to the community by volunteering their time at the Dave Reynolds Community Lacrosse Festival on Friday and Saturday.
At halftime of the Wesley women's lacrosse game against Christopher Newport on Saturday, student-athletes that received a cumulative grade-point average or a fall semester grade-point average of 3.0 or higher will be recognized during an on-field ceremony for their academic success.
Division III Week culminates on Sunday at 7 p.m. with the WESPY Awards at the Wells Theater. The awards ceremony honors student-athletes from each of the 18 intercollegiate sports in multiple different categories.
