WASHINGTON, D.C. - Wesley College's baseball team swept a doubleheader from Gallaudet University Wednesday afternoon at Hamilton Field.  The Wolverines (17-7) took the opener, 8-6, before winning game two, 16-6.

Mark Mattern got credit for the win in game one while DJ Keckler retired the final five outs for his first save of the season.  Andrew Cooper earned the victory in game two.

Offensively, Rob Benedict and Morgan Rupp both had three hits while Geoff Kimmel slugged a three-run home run.  Bryan Reshetar and Matt Robles also had multi-hit games in the opener.

In game two, Rupp, Reshetar, Conner Gobright and Sam Farnell each had two hits apiece.  The Wolverines scored five runs in the fourth as Kimmel cleared the bases with a three-run double and was followed up by Rupp's team-high fourth roundtripper of the season.

The Wolverines return to action this weekend when they travel to Stevenson University for a three-game Capital Athletic Conference series on March 31-April 1.
