Willey Honored by the ECAC

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Wesley College's Eric Willey has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the league office late Tuesday night.  This is the first time that Willey has garnered recognition by the ECAC.

A sophomore from Seaford, Del., Willey struck out a career-high ten batters in a ten-inning complete game shutout victory over Southern Virginia last Friday to earn Capital Athletic Conference weekly honors.  Willey allowed just three hits on the day and retired 16 of his last 17 batters to earn the victory.

Willey and the Wolverines return to the diamond on Wednesday, April 2 when they travel to take on Marymount (Va.) in a CAC single game at 1 pm.
