Mears named CAC Baseball Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. – Senior outfielder Trey Mears was named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

Mears went on tear for the 4-1 Wolverines last week. Mears hit .737 with 15 RBIs, 11 stolen bases, and nine runs scored. Mears also hit four doubles and posted an on-base percentage of .750 and a slugging percentage of .947.

Mears set Wesley's single-game record for most RBIs in a single game when he drove in nine runs against Valley Forge on Thursday. Mears also hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning that scored Deshawn Aiken from second base to propel Wesley over No. 12 ranked Oswego State in the second half of the doubleheader on Sunday.

The Wolverines will be back in action this weekend when they hostthe St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Bears in a three-game series. The series starts with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12 p.m.
