Wesley Baseball splits home opener

DOVER, Del. - 

The Wesley College baseball team split its home opener with St. Mary's on Sunday. The Wolverines scored first on a Jason Boc double scoring Jarrett Wallace, with Boc later scoring in the inning leaving the score 2-0. The Wolverines would fall behind 6-2 until the 4th inning when Boc would once again start the Wesley rally. The game was nearly all Wesley after that as the rally party continued through the 5th and 6th inning finalizing the score with a 12-8 victory.
 
In game two of the double header the Wolverines were outlasted by the Seahawks in a lower scoring 6-2 game. On the day Boc and Jacob Meisel lead the offense contributing three RBI's each which all came in game one. Alex Weber contributed the only RBI in game two on a fielders choice scoring Sam Courtney from third.
 
The Wolverines head down for the final Route 13 rivalry game vs. Salisbury on Wednesday with the first pitch scheduled for 3:30pm.
