8th inning rally nearly derails Mighty Macs

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College baseball team took on the Immaculata Mighty Macs for a second day in a row completing their conference series in a single game competition today. The mighty Macs controlled the pace of the game for the majority of the innings but an 8th inning five run rally pulled the game to a 6-7 ballgame headed into the 9th.

Wesley started chipping away at the Immaculata five run lead in the 7th inning of an Alex Weber sacrifice fly scoring Jacob Meisel from third. The Wolverines picked right back up where they left off in the 8th plating five runs with help via the long ball once again from Weber and Jason Boc. On the day Kyle Schneider lead the team going 2-3 with a walk and a run scored.

The Wolverines return to action in a single game matchup with Marymount at home on Friday. The first pitch of that game is set for 3:00pm.
