Kelly, Morris Named Outstanding Spring Players

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College Head Football Coach Mike Drass announced Sunday afternoon that sophomore running back Michael Kelly and junior DB/WR Jared Morris have been named the 2012 Outstanding Spring Players.

A native of Aberdeen, Md., Kelly saw action in five games last season and rushed for 36 yards on seven carries.  Kelly saw his most playing time in a win over Husson and totaled 33 yards on six attempts.

Morris will see time at both defensive back and receiver as a senior after spending time at receiver and as a return man last season.  The Toms River, N.J., native, caught 11 passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a win over Frostburg State.
