D3football.com Preseason Poll

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's football team has been ranked fifth in the D3football.com 2013 Preseason Poll, it was announced early Thursday morning.  In the deepest poll in the history of the publication, three teams received first place votes with Mount Union, St. Thomas, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Linfield ranking just ahead of the Wolverines.

In what could possibly be once again the toughest schedule in NCAA Division III, Wesley will take on three teams that are ranked in the Top 25 and they happen to be the first three games on the Wolverines schedule.

Widener, who Wesley opens the year with at Scott D. Miller Stadium on Friday, September 6, is ranked 20th.  The Wolverines then host No. 16 Salisbury on September 14 before heading to third-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor on September 21.

Also receiving votes in the preseason poll is Rowan, who Wesley travels to on October 19.
