Speidel’s School-Record Earns Him ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's Eric Speidel has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Football Co-Special Teams Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Tusday evening.  This is the first weekly honor off Speidel's career.

A sophomore kicker from Lawrenceville, N.J., Speidel converted on all ten of his extra points to set a school-record as the 4th-ranked Wolverines went on the road to defeat Menlo College, 70-2.

Since joining the squad midway through the season after serving as the team's ballboy, Speidel is a perfect 24-for-24 on his PATs and made his lone field goal attempt of 30 yards.

Speidel and the Wolverines return to action on Saturday, October 25 when they travel to Virginia University of Lynchburg for a 1 pm kickoff.
