DOVER, Del. - Wesley College head football coach and athletic director Mike Drass, President Robert E. Clark II and Christo Garavelas gathered to admire the work that Garavelas' business had completed in the football locker room. The trio praised the quality work that Garavelas donated to the program that he grew to love during his time at Wesley.
Garavelas was a four-year starter for the Wolverines' football team, playing along the offensive line from 1997 to 2000 and graduating in spring 2001. The three-time ACFC All-Conference lineman now owns Service Painting Inc. based out of Trainer, Pa. The Haverford, Pa. native and Wesley alum had his company apply a fresh coat of paint to the Wolverines' locker room and the concession stand in Scott D. Miller Stadium. He also provided a new floor covering for the locker room.
"We are really grateful," said Coach Drass, "We have great alumni who constantly give back to this program that they love."
The Wesley College football team will have to wait until week two to show off their new locker room. The Wolverines open the season on Sept. 12 at Frostburg State University before returning home on Sept. 19 to host Christopher Newport University.
