Wesley Ranked Fifth in D3football.com and AFCA Polls

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College football team remained among the top teams in NCAA Division III as they were selected fifth in both the D3football.com and American Football Coaches' Association Polls on Monday.

The Wolverines earned a 44-24 victory over Christopher Newport University on Saturday, improving their record to 2-0 on the season with both victories coming against New Jersey Athletic Conference opponents.

The victory on Saturday also gave the team's head coach Mike Drass his 200th career win, with all of them coming at the helm of Wesley. Drass joins fellow NJAC head coach Rick Giancola (226 wins) of Montclair State as the only active coaches in NCAA Division III with 200 wins.

Wesley will travel to Chicago this weekend to face North Central College in a highly anticipated matchup of ranked teams. The Cardinals (1-1) are ranked 22nd in both the D3football.com and AFCA polls.
