DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College Football team has won three straight games as different members of the team have stepped up as the season progressed. One of those to step up in a big way has been E.J. Lee. The running back secured his third straight New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honor on Sunday.
In the Wolverines third consecutive win, he carried 15 times for 83 yards, marking the third consecutive week that the freshman has gained 80 yards or more on the ground. The only freshman among the league's Top 25 rushers, Lee currently ranks eighth in the NJAC in rushing (69.7 yards per game). In Wesley's last three contests, the Germantown, Md. native has run for 331 yards and five touchdowns.
The Wolverines held serve, remaining in a five-way tie for first place in the NJAC with their win and will face Rowan University on Saturday Oct. 22 in a crucial matchup of first place teams.
