Wolverines Back in D3football.com Top 25

DOVER, Del. - For the first time since week three of the season, the Wesley College Football team is back in the D3football.com Top 25 poll, listed as No. 20 among the nation's best.

The Wolverines are one of the hottest teams in the nation, riding a six-game win streak including two road wins over D3football.com Top 25 opponents (No. 19 Rowan and No. 18 Salisbury) in the past three weeks. Both teams have since dropped from the rankings as the Wolverines have ascended.

The Wolverines boast a 7-2 record, including a 7-1 mark in New Jersey Athletic Conference play and sit atop the rankings of the conference with a chance at their first automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament. With a win over William Paterson on Saturday, the Wolverines would clinch at least a share of the NJAC title, and return to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th straight season, earning the program's first automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament in team history.

Wesley stands as the only remaining ranked team in the NJAC. Frostburg State and Salisbury are each receiving votes, but have not eclipsed the top 25.

The Wolverines are scheduled to kick off against the William Paterson Pioneers on Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. The team will celebrate Senior Day as well as Youth Football Day.
