DOVER, Del. – Several members of the Wesley College football team joined hundreds of students at North Dover Elementary School for their annual Field Day on Wednesday.
"The kids were excited to see us and we were even more eager to help out at North Dover so it just made it more fun for all of us," stated senior defensive back Greg Taylor.
The players assisted teachers, staff and volunteers at North Dover Elementary guiding students through many different outdoor activities such as relay races, dunk tanks and obstacle courses to conclude one of the last days of the school year.
"Whenever Wesley football comes to the school, the kids' faces always light up when they see them," says assistant coach Bob Healy, who is also a physical education teacher at North Dover. 'It was the third year in a row we were able to bring the players out to the school and I could tell it was an enjoyable experience for both the players and the kids."
