DOVER, Del. – The 13th ranked Wesley College football team will take on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 12 p.m. at Drass Field at Scott D. Miller Stadium.

Wesley clinched their 13th consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament with a 30-20 win over Salisbury on Nov. 4 and finished off an undefeated New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) schedule with a 31-14 victory over Christopher Newport on Nov. 11. It was the first time a team has won the outright NJAC Championship since 2012.

It is Wesley's 14th NCAA Tournament appearance in the 25-year tenure of head coach Mike Drass. Wesley has won six region championships during their current 13-year stretch of tournament appearances

RPI finished the regular season 8-2 overall and a 4-1 record in the Liberty League. They tied for the conference title, but earned the league's automatic bid based on a victory over Ithaca College on Oct. 14.

It is the first NCAA playoff appearance for RPI since 2007 and their fifth appearance overall.

Ticket and media information will be available later in the week.
