PHILADELPHIA – Wesley College senior defensive back DaJahn Lowery was selected as part of Team America to compete in the 2018 Globe Bowl on Saturday, April 7 in Germantown Academy's Carey Stadium in Ft. Washington, Pa.
Lowery was a two-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honoree. He recorded 62 tackles, 11 passes defended, seven pass breakups, four interceptions and 3.5 tackles for loss in 2017. He registered a defensive touchdown when he returned an interception 57 yards for a touchdown against William Paterson on Sept. 23.
For his career, Lowery totaled 155 tackles, 23 pass breakups, seven interceptions, seven tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
The Globe Bowl is a week in which top-level talent from NCAA schools participates in a "National Pro Day" combine in front of numerous professional scouts.
Team America, made up of NCAA student-athletes and additional aspiring professional players, will practice all week at Widener University in Chester, Pa. to prepare for the game against Team Canada.
