DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College offense erupted for five first half goals and cruised to a 6-0 win over visiting Richard Stockton in non-conference action.
Brooke Tadlock (Middletown, Del.) added two more goals to bring her season total to five through just six games played.
Wesley got the game-winner at 6:48 when Ashley Kisner (Duncannon, Pa.) poked one home right in front of the cage with an assist from Amanda Fisher (Felton, Del.). At 11:03, Stephanie Johnson (Camden, Del.) scored her third goal of the year when she smashed one past the Ospreys' Christine Harvey (Edgewood, Md.) from 10 yards out.
Tadlock got her first goal of the game just 3:22 later to make it a 3-0 advantage.
Sam Marconi's (Haddon Township, N.J.) fourth tally of 2008 at 29:34 and Tadlock's second score with just 53 seconds left in the half sent the Wolverines into the half ahead 5-0.
Sheree Pleasanton (Smyrna, Del.) scored Wesley's sixth and final goal just 58 second into the second half with an assist from Marconi.
Sarah Johnson made two saves for her fourth shutout of the season.
Harvey and Debi O'Kane each played a half in goal for Richard Stockton. Harvey stopped one shot, while O'Kane turned away four in the final 35 minutes.
Wesley outshot the Ospreys 24-4 and held a 10-3 advantage on penalty corners.
The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday, September 13 when they host St. Mary's (Md.) in their Capital Athletic Conference opener.
