YORK, Pa. - Wesley College scored twice in the game's final five minutes, but the late rally fell short as the Wolverines dropped a 4-3 final at York (Pa.) in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action.
Megan Spangler scored for the Spartans (5-4, 2-1 CAC) just 2:28 in to put York ahead 1-0. The Wolverines (4-4, 0-2 CAC) tightened their defense, however, and held the Spartans to just two more shots in the half.

Spangler scored again for what proved to be the deciding goal 10 minutes later.
Wesley rallied late to get back into the game. Brooke Tadlock (Middletown, Del./Middletown) brought the ball into the circle, beat the Spartans' keeper and angled a shot into the cage at 65:11 to make it a 4-2 game.
Marconi added her second goal of the afternoon when she shot one near the left post to make it a 4-3 game with 1:25 remaining. York, however, was able to prevent Wesley from mounting any more offense and ran out the clock.
Richa'd Johnson (Paulsboro, N.J./Paulsboro) led the Wesley defense, making a defensive save with just 20 seconds remaining in the first half.
Sarah Johnson made three saves for the Wolverines. Claire Rekitzke had four for York.
Tadlock's goal moved her into sole possession of 17th place on Wesley's all-time list.
Wesley will return home for Senior Day on Sunday, September 28, when the Wolverines host Gwynned-Mercy at 2:00 PM at Dr. Scott D. Miller Stadium.
