FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Wesley College and Mary Washington combined for just 10 shots, but Alison Weckstein found the back of the cage for the Eagles as the Wolverines fell 1-0 on the road.
Neither team had a shot in the opening nine minutes and Wesley (8-6, 2-4 CAC) didn't get a shot off until Sheree Pleasanton put a shot on Eagle (8-4, 4-1 CAC) keeper Chrissy Bowdren at 31:34.
After a scoreless first half, Weckstein scored at 48:37 for the game-winner.
Sarah Johnson made four saves for Wesley.
Bowdren made just one, but still managed the shutout.
Wesley will look to rebound on Saturday, October 11 with a game at Roanoke.
