SALEM, Va. - Brooke Tadlock, Sheree Pleasanton and Jade Martin all scored first half goals to lead Wesley College past Roanoke 3-0 in a non-conference road match.
Tadlock (Middletown, Del.) took an assist from Stephanie Johnson (Camden, Del.) for the gamewinner at 12:48 for a 1-0 Wesley (9-6) lead.
Pleasanton (Smyrna, Del.) got her eight tally of the year when she punched one in from just a yard outside of cage at 26:43 and Martin (Cape May, N.J.) finished the scoring with her first goal of 2008 with only 20 seconds remaining in the half.
While the Wolverine offense was busy scoring in the first half, the defense held the Maroons (1-11) to a single shot in the opening 35 minutes.
Sarah Johnson stopped four shots to record her sixth shutout of 2008.
Cristina Scichilone made five saves for Roanoke.
Wesley is idle for 10 days before travelling to Juniata for a road match on October 21.
