Leone Honored by CAC

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College midfielder Madison Leone (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for October 17, 2011.

Leone scored six of Wesley's nine goals in three games this week, including a pair of weekend victories. After scoring the Wolverines' third goal in a 4-3 midweek setback vs. 16th-ranked Rowan, Leone tallied the only goal of the game in a non-conference win Saturday at Moravian. Sunday, Leone tied a CAC record by scoring four goals in a CAC win vs. Stevenson, lifting the Wolverines into a tie for first place with Salisbury.

It is the second time this season that Leone has earned the Offensive Player of the Week Award after winning it on September 12.

The Wolverines host Salisbury in a battle of teams tied for first place in the CAC standings on October 19 at 7:00 PM.
