St. Mary's Downs Wolverines

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - St. Mary's (Md.) Paige Decker scored two goals as Wesley College fell 3-1 on the road in Capital Athletic Conference field hockey action.

Lauriann Parker put the Seahawks ahead 1-0 just 70 seconds into the contest when she scored off a loose ball off another shot.

Just 23 seconds before halftime, Decker took a shot from seven yards into the left corner for a 2-0 lead at the break.  Decker scored against in the 62nd minute off a loose ball going across the cage.

The Wolverines got on the scoreboard 58 seconds later when Hannah Wilson (Dover, Del./Dover) assisted Jessica Franklin (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) on a penalty corner to cut it to 3-1.

Amanda Hudson (Frederica, Del./St. Thomas More) played the entire game in goal for Wesley, making six saves. 

St. Mary's Anastasia Wash also had six saves.

Wesley outshot the Seahawks 13-12 and held a 20-5 advantage in penalty corners.

The Wolverines host Immaculata on October 26.
