Field Hockey Falls to Haverford

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to Haverford College on Sunday afternoon at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines fall to 5-4 overall while the Fords improve to 4-4.

Haverford scored both of their goals in the first half off starting goalkeeper Kayla Fromal (two saves) with the game-winner coming at 3:41 off the stick of Elena Veale.  Paige Carson added another in the 30th minute while Catherine Aronowitz assisted on both.

Sarah Daniels relieved Fromal in goal in the second half and stopped four shots. Brooke Gannon was also credited with a pair of defensive saves as Haverford held a 21-7 shot advantage.

The Wolverines travel to Drew on Tuesday, September 30 for a 7 pm start.
