Knott, Wood combine for 15 saves against Albright

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to the Albright Lions on Monday.

After holding the Lions scoreless through one half, the Lions broke through with two second-half goals to take the non-conference victory.

The Wolverines had a great effort in net by the sophomore duo of Sidney Knott and Bridget Wood. Knott notched 10 saves in just over 57 minutes of action while Wood played the final 12-plus minutes of the game and stopped five shots.

Kasey Fry, Emily Wagner and Kelsey Fromal each tallied a defensive save for the Wolverines.

Annette Helmandollar and Bailey Lehman each recorded a goal for the Lions.

The Wolverines will head to Virginia Beach on Wednesday to face the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m.
