Field Hockey drops CAC tilt against No. 10 CNU

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College field hockey team was upended, 3-0, by the No. 10 ranked Christopher Newport Captains in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play on Saturday.

The Wesley defense and Bridget Wood played well for the Wolverines, holding the Captains to 22 shots on net. Wood picked up 19 saves on the day.

Kasey Fry tallied a shot on goal while Morgan Gannon and Jessica Behornar also recorded a shot for the Wolverines.

Courtney Fiest had two goals for the Captains.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 when they head down Route 13 to take on the No. 7 ranked Salisbury Seagulls in CAC action. The match will begin at 6 p.m.
