Field Hockey prevails in overtime over Frostburg St.

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Wesley College field hockey team collected their second-straight 1-0 win with a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) victory over the Frostburg St. Bobcats. 

After a scoreless 75 minutes where both teams recorded 16 shots, the Wolverines came out firing outshooting the Bobcats 7-0 in the overtime period.

Kaila Hindt netted the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute when she got her own rebound and pushed the shot past the Bobcat goalkeeper to lift the Wolverines over the Bobcats.

Sidney Knott stopped 10 shots in goal for the Wolverines. Natalie Quigley notched a defensive save in the first half in the win.

The Wolverines held a slight 12-11 advantage in penalty corners over the Bobcats.

The Wolverines will conclude the 2017 season at home when they host the Mary Washington Eagles on Thursday. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. Prior to the game, the Wolverines will honor their seniors for Senior Night.
