WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Wesley College field hockey team picked up a 3-2 non-conference road win on Sunday over the McDaniel Green Terror.

Rebecca Dvorak broke the scoreless tie in the 25th minute when she got a feed from Alexiss Hulse at the top of the arc and blasted it past the McDaniel goalkeeper.

After McDaniel cut the lead back to one in the 41st minute, Hanna Giaccone deflected a Kasey Fry shot past the goalkeeper in the 54th minute for Giaccone's first collegiate goal.

McDaniel's Madison Jamison scored in the 61st minute but Wesley's defense held strong to hold onto the victory.

Lauren Berry tallied eight saves in the win for Wesley.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Notre Dame (Md.) Gators. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start from the DE Turf Complex in Frederica, Del.
