FREDERICA, Del. – The Wesley College field hockey team blanked the Notre Dame (Md.) Gators, 8-0 at the DE Turf Complex on Wednesday to extend their season-opening winning streak to three games.
Kaila Hindt led the Wesley offense with four goals and an assist. Hindt started the scoring early, when she would score off a feed from Hanna Giaccone less than two minutes into the game.
Rebecca Dvorak, Samantha Dingus, Natalie Quigley and Kristen Fuhr each tallied a goal in the win.
Katelynn Fuhr dished out a pair of assists while Alexiss Hulse and Brittany Bishop each added an assist of their own.
Defensively, Wesley only allowed four shots on target, Bridget Wood and Sidney Knott split a half in goal for the Wolverines. They each notched a pair of saves in the shutout.
The Wolverines (3-0) will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 8 when they host the Ferrum Panthers. Faceoff from Drass Field is set for 1 p.m.
