Field Hockey scores a 3-1 Atlantic East win over Cabrini

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College field hockey scored an Atlantic East Conference victory over Cabrini, 3-1 on Thursday.

Wesley got on the board in the 23rd minute of the game when Kaila Hindt stole the ball in the midfield and dribbled through the Cabrini defense. Hindt beat the goalkeeper near post to give Wesley the 1-0 lead.

Hindt got another one across in the early part of the second half when Breanna Kulesza's shot was saved by the Cabrini defender but Hindt was there to clean up the rebound and double Wesley's lead.

Kristen Fuhr notched a goal in the 55th minute of the game off an assist from Hindt on the wing.

Cabrini was able to cut the Wesley lead in the 61st minute with a Katie Heck goal but Wesley was able to hold off Cabrini to seal the win.

Natalie Quigley recorded a defensive save in the second half. Lauren Berry stopped two shots in goal for the win.

Wesley (6-9, 2-2 Atlantic East) will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Immaculata Mighty Macs in an Atlantic East contest. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. Prior to game, the team will honor their graduating seniors.
