LANCASTER, Pa. – Five Wesley College field hockey players earned All-Atlantic East Conference honors on Tuesday.
Kaila Hindt leads the Wesley honorees, landing on the All-Atlantic East First Team. Hindt led the Atlantic East in points (32) and goals (13) and finished in a tie for second place in assists (6). She scored five game-winning goals during the season.
Kristen Fuhr, Kasey Fry, Jessica Behornar and Natalie Quigley collected All-Atlantic East Second Team honors. Fry picked up the second all-conference honor of her career, after placing fourth in the conference in defensive saves (5) and tying for sixth in assists (6). Fry finished second on the team in points (12) and tied for second on the team in goals (4).
Behornar, the Atlantic East Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, totaled four goals on the year, including a pair of goals in the Atlantic East Championship Game. She added two defensive saves on the year.
Quigley paced the Wesley defense with seven defensive saves, good for a two-way tie for second place in the Atlantic East and 20th in Division III.
Fuhr totaled six points on three goals in 2018 and was a key part of the Wesley attack and midfield.
Wesley capped off their season upsetting the top seed in the conference tournament and NCAA qualifier Gwynedd Mercy, 2-1 to capture the first-ever Atlantic East Conference Field Hockey Championship.
