How it happened
The Wolverines traveled to Eastern University to take on the Eagles in a non-conference match up that resulted in a 2-1 loss in overtime. The Wolverine defense held strong through the first quarter of the game not allowing any goals until the second quarter where the Eagles found the back of the net on a cross.
Five minutes later, Madison Cook scored, assisted by Kaila Hindt, bringing the score to a tie, 1-1 to end the third quarter.
With no goal from either team in the fourth quarter, the match went into overtime, and after a lot of back and forth play, the Eagles scored in the 68th minute to end the game 2-1.
