Late Double Overtime Goal Results in a Win for Wesley Field Hockey

How it happened

Fast start at Drass Field on Saturday, September 5th for the Wolverines as they took on Eastern Mennonite and scored just 7 minutes into the game by Jessica Behornar.

The remainder of the first quarter consisted of back and forth play for both teams.

The second quarter proved to be a tough one for the Wolverines as EMU scored back to back to take the lead 2-1 going into halftime. 

Back from the break with neither team scoring until Maragret Johnson got a hold of the ball to tie the game 2-2 in the fourth quarter resulting in overtime. 

The first overtime resulted in no goal bringing us to a second overtime. Jessica Behornar brought the ball up the middle into the circle and into the back of the net for a Wolverine win 3-2.

The Wolverines now stand (7-3) overall and will open conference play on Wednesday, October 9th against Gwynnedd Mercy. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
