Wesley 13th at Mid-Atlantic

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Wesley College golf team finished 13th at the Mid-Atlantic Region Invitational hosted by Rochester at the Hershey Country Club.
The Wolverines matched their first round team total of 326, but dropped two spots in the team standings.
Chris Osberg (Amherst, Va./Amherst) tied for 18th with a two day 157 after shooting a 79 in the second round. Rob Zimmerer (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) finished just two shots back, but fell to a tie for 30th at 159 after scoring an 81.
Jeff Owsik (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) improved three strokes on the second day, shooting an 80 to finish at 163. Kevin Reidinger (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley) was 73rd with a 178, one shot and one place on the leaderboard ahead of teammate Jason Schatz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield).
Both Carnegie Mellon and Washington & Jefferson finished with team scores of 614, but CMU won the team title with a better final score by their fifth golfer.
Brandon Christo of Elmira held off a pair of W&J players to win the individual crown by two shots with a 149.
The Wolverines are back in action on April 13 at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
