Owsik Tied for First at CAC Championships

HAMPSTEAD, Md. - Wesley College's Jeff Owsik (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) is tied for first place after the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Championships at the Piney Branch Golf Club.
Owsik shot a 75 to tie with York (Pa.)'s Adam Dupler for the first round lead.
The Wolverines are tied for second in the team standings, matching Marymount (Va.) with a 318. The Spartans lead the team scoring with a 311.
Chris Osberg (Amherst, Va./Amherst), the defending CAC individual champion, is tied for sixth with a 79. Rob Zimmerer (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) is tied for 10th after shooting an 80.
Kevin Reidinger (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley) shot an 84 for 17th place. Jason Schatz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) is in 23rd.
Wesley, in search of its 12th straight conference title, will finish play at the Championships on Sunday, April 26.
