Wesley Fifth at Goldey-Beacom

RISING SUN, Md. - The Wesley College golf team finished fifth at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Invitational, despite being the lone Division III squad in the field.
Bobby Ehrhardt (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) led the Wolverines with a 36-hole 147 (76-71) to finish tied for fourth in the 55 player field. Chris Osberg (Amherst, Va./Amherst) tied for 11th with a 152 (79-73).
Alec Kessler (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) shot a 160 (83-77) to finish in a 33rd place tie. Rob Zimmerer (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) finished two strokes back in 39th place (82-80).
J.D. Cooney (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) rounded out the Wesley finishers with a 171 (83-88) for 47th overall.
The 11-team tournament was played at The Chesapeake Bay Club, a par 71, 6,600 yard course.
The Wolverines are now idle until September 28th, when they participate in the Rehoboth Beach Invitational, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
