Wesley Competes in Georgia
SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Wesley College golf team finished 10th at The Coca-Cola Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
Bobby Ehrhardt (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) led the Wolverines, finishing tied for 17th in the 61 player field with a 54-hole 232 (73-82-77). Chris Osberg (Amherst, Va./Amherst) tied for 38th, six strokes back (80-79-79). Alec Kessler (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) shot a 240 (83-81-76) to tie for 43rd. Clayton Bunting (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Tech) was tied for 48th at 244 (84-75-85) to round out the scoring for the Wolverines.
Texas-Tyler dominated the field, shooting a three-round 883 (288-284-311) to win by 27 strokes over second place Christopher Newport. UT-Tyler's Jacob Walsh (68-67-81) and Joey Rippel (71-70-75) tied for individual medalist honors.
The tournament also featured a pair of Division I teams in Lehigh University and Bryant University.
Wesley is idle for 10 days before competing at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational on March 23 at the The Links at Gettysburg.
