Opening Round of Ted Keller Complete

GLEN ALLEN, Va. - The Wesley College golf team competed in the opening round of the Ted Keller Memorial hosted by Randolph-Macon. 

Robert Ehrhardt (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) leads the Wolverines after the opening round on the par 72, 6,882-yard Hunting Hawk Golf Course.  The junior shot a 75 to tie for 14th.

Clayton Bunting (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Tech) is also in the top 20.  He tied for 19th with a 76.  Cody Pestun (Damascus, Md./Damascus), the reigning Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week, shot a 78 and is in a tie for 31st.  Corey Jefferson (Wilmington, Del./Archmere) rounded out the scoring for Wesley with a 90, tying him for 68th place.

Averett's Kalle Kangas shot a 69 to claim the first round lead.  Hampden-Sydney leads the team scoring, while Wesley is tied for 10th in the 14 team field.

The tournament concludes with the second round on Sunday, October 2.
