Ehrhardt Leads Golf At GBC Invite Through 18

NEWARK, Del. - Junior Robert Ehrhardt shot an opening round 73 (+3) as the Wesley College golf team sits in fifth place at the Goldey-Beacom Spring Invitational at the Deerfield Golf and Tennis Club on Sunday afternoon.  A native of Mechanicsville, Md., Ehrhardt is currently in a tie for second place, four strokes behind Patrick McRae of GBC.

The Wolverines combined to shoot a 335, paced by Ehrhardt who shot a 35 on the front nine.  Clayton Bunting also broke an 80 by shooting a 77 and sits in a tie for ninth.  

Also turning in cards for Wesley was Cody Pestun (T-27; 86), Mike Robinson (34th, 99) and Corey Jefferson (36th, 111).

St. Thomas Aquinas leads the team tournament after shooting a 306 and is two shots ahead of both Nyack College and the host Lightning. Dominican College (NY) is in fourth, followed by Wesley, Felician College (357) and Holy Family (358).

The second and final round of the Tournament will begin at 9 am on Monday morning.
