Golf Leads CAC Championships After 18 Holes

WYOMING, Del. – Wesley College's golf team shot a season-best 302, at the 6,803-yard Wild Quail Golf Club and leads the Capital Athletic Conference Championships by 11 strokes after the first round which was held on Friday afternoon.  Junior Robert Ehrhardt leads the individual championship by two shots over classmate Clayton Bunting after shooting a 1-under, 71.

Trailing Wesley for the team title are Stevenson (313), York (320), Marymount (324) and Hood (351).

The Wolverines own the top three individual spots with Ehrhardt, Bunting (1-over, 73) and freshman Cody Pestun (2-over, 74).  Stevenson University's Ben Lukehart (4-over, 76) and Justin Hughes (6-over, 78) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

Also turning in cards for the Navy & White were Mike Robinson (84) and Erik Shellenhamer (85) who currently sit in 19th and 20th out of 26 golfers.

The second round of the 36-hole championship will be held on Saturday, April 21, beginning at 12:30 pm at Wild Quail Golf Club.
