HARRISBURG, Pa. – Wesley College's Dylan Chessher and Matt Sampogna carded second-round 77s on Monday afternoon to lead the Wolverines to a sixth-place team finish at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational held at the Par 72, 6,800 yard Dauphin Highlands Golf Course.
The Wolverines two-day team total of 656 bested St. Joseph's (670), CAC-rival Marymount (673), Penn College (681), Lebanon Valley (683), Cairn (699) and Wilson (740).
Firing an 81 and 82, respectively, in the first round on Sunday, Chessher and Sampogna finished in ties for 18th and 20th overall with two-day totals of 158 and 159. Ricky Mulloy turned in rounds of 84 on Sunday and 83 on Monday to tie for 33rd while Tyler Spielberger shot identical 86's on both days to tie for 40th of 59 golfers.
Finishing a stroke behind Spielberger was Zachary Huk with a first round 86 followed by an 87 today.
The Wolverines return to action on October 6 for the Goldey Beacom Invitational.
