WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Dylan Chessher shot back-to-back nine-over, 81's to lead the Wesley College golf team to a 10th place finish at the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial, hosted at the Par 72, 6,822 yard Williamsburg Club on Monday afternoon. The Wolverines recorded a team total of 685 (+109) and finished two strokes behind the host Apprentice School and ahead of Louisburg College, Eastern Mennonite and William Peace.
Chessher's two-round total of 162 placed him 28th overall out of 70 golfers. Tyler Spielberger (173, +29) carded an 88 in the opening round Monday and followed with an 85, beating out Ricky Mulloy, who fired a pair of 87's, by one stoke. Mike Piccirillo had a solid second round with an 86, following an opening round 92 to finish in a tie for 56th at 178 (+34).
The Wolverines close out the season at the Capital Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Christopher Newport University on April 18-19.
