CAPE CHARLES, Va. - The Wesley College Men's Golf team earned a fifth place finish at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, carding a 1066 team total for the three-day event at Bay Creek Golf Resort.
Dylan Chessher earned Wesley's top finish, coming in at 17th overall. Chessher had a tough first day, scoring a 93, but finished strong on days two and three with rounds of 83 and 84 for a 260. Tyler Spielberger was consistent over the three day tournament, putting up rounds of 88, 87, and 88 for a 263 and 19th overall. Matt Maskell carded a three-day total of 268 for 24th overall. Ricky Mulloy came in 30th overall with a 279 score while Mike Piccirillo carded a three-day 287 for 32nd place.
Wesley's three-day score of 1066 placed them ahead of William Paterson and New Jersey City University, and just behind York College and Penn State Harrisburg. Christopher Newport earned the CAC Crown with a three-day total of 936, their third straight championship.
