DANIELSVILLE, Pa. - The Wesley College Golf team opened their fall season with a solid result, taking sixth out of 13 teams in the Moravian College Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon.
Dylan Chessher led the team with a 78 to finish tied for 12th, just six strokes off the leader. He finised is round with a 36 on the back nine, shooting an even par over his final nine holes. The senior birdied 12 and bogied 16 to go even on the back nine.
In his Wesley College debut, Sean Creel carded an 82 to finish tied with Matt Maskell and several others in 23rd overall. Ricky Mulloy shot an 83 to finish one stroke behind Creel and Maskell while Tyler Speilberger rounded out the Wolverines' top five with an 88.
The Wolverines took sixth overall, finishing ahead of CAC competitor New Jersey City University by 14 strokes. Moravian College earned the overall team win, shooting 305 as a team. Anthony Hoffman of Chestnut Hill College earned first overall with an even par 72.
The Wolverines will continue their fall season at the Dauphin Highlands on Sept. 18 and 19 in an event hosted by Penn State Harrisburg.
