WYOMING, Del. - The Wesley College Men's Golf team took part in the second annual Andrew Geyer Memorial Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, competing against several regional golf teams in honor of Wesley golf alumni Andrew Geyer.
The Wolverines placed two teams in the tournament, finishing fifth and sixth overall. Matt Maskell shot the Wolverines' low round on day one, carding an 81 through wet and windy conditions. He followed up with an 86 on Sunday to finish tied with fellow Wesley golfer Josh Covey as the top Wolverine on the weekend.
Dylan Chessher shot an 87 on day one but rebounded with an 81 on day two to book a 168 while Tyler Spielberger put together a two day total of 169. Ricky Mulloy carded a 172 over the two days, while Zak Huk shot a 179. Mike Piccirillo and Kevin Polk each carded a 185 for the Wolverines.
Rosemont College finished the event in first place, with the Ravens' Jordan Cook finishing first overall. Moravian, Swarthmore, and Eastern followed, edging the Wolverines on the two-day tournament.
Wesley will resume their season in the spring, readying themselves for the CAC Championships later in the year.
