Chessher earns second team honors, Geyer Award at CAC Championships

CAPE CHARLES. Va. – The Wesley College men's golf team wrapped up play on Sunday at the 2017 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Golf Championships at the Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Va.

Dylan Chessher finished in 11th place with a three-day total of 236 to qualify for the All-CAC Second Team. Chessher was also won the Andrew Geyer Award at the tournament. The Andrew Geyer Award is presented by Wesley College in honor of former Wolverine standout Andrew Geyer, recognizes a CAC golfer annually for "outstanding academic credentials, athletics, citizenship and community service."

Eric Speidel just narrowly missed All-CAC honors, placing 13th with a 241. Tyler Spielberger tied for 19th place at the tournament shooting a three-day total of 254.

Matt Maskell (258) and Josh Covey (280) rounded out the Wolverine golfers at the CAC Championships.
