Men’s golf places fifth at CAC Championship

CAPE CHARLES, Va. – The Wesley College men's golf team placed fifth out of eight teams at the three-day Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships, held at the Jack Nicklaus Course at Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Va.

Tyler Spielberger led the Wesley golfers with a three-day total of 249 to place 14th. His low was a five-over 78 in the final round of the tournament.

Josh Covey finished 22nd, shooting a 260. Covey's low was a first round 83. Sean Creel tied for 26th with a low of 84 on the final day while Ricky Mulloy finished in a tie for 30th with a low of 90 in the first round. Kevin Polk rounded out the Wesley golfers in 34th place with a three-round low of 92 in the final round.

Mary Washington won the CAC Team Championship with a team score of 925.
