Malkowski takes over Wesley Golf Program

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College Interim Director of Athletics Tracey Short announced on Friday that Steve Malkowski '83 will take over as the head coach of the men's golf team.

"We are very pleased to have Steve and excited for him to share his passion for golf and Wesley College with the student-athletes," stated Short. "His commitment to the players and the program will be an asset to the young men on the team."

Malkowski joined the Wesley staff in the summer of 2017 serving as an assistant coach for the men's golf team, while helping to initiate a movement toward adding women's golf.

A 1983 graduate of Wesley College, Malkowski has spent the past 15 years as the assistant golf coach at Dover High School. Malkowski served eight years in the Air Force and currently owns "The Trophy Man" award service in Dover.

"I would like to thank Tracey and Wesley College for the opportunity to lead the golf program to the future," said Malkowski. "With the move to the Atlantic East Conference, there are great things ahead for our golf teams and I'm ready to get started."

In addition, the Wesley golf programs will return to Maple Dale Country Club in Dover, as their home course. Located only 3.5 miles away from Wesley's campus, Maple Dale features a USGA championship rated 18-hole course and an indoor practice facility.
